Exciting (if slightly late) news! We’ve made the switch to paper straws!
If you’ve been in for a cold drink in the past week, you’ve probably already noticed the switch. Lots of you have been kind enough to voice your support for the switch to a more eco-friendly option, and we’re very grateful for that!
We’ve actually made a handful of environmentally-conscious changes over the past year, and not all of them are as obvious as the straw swap. A few that might have escaped your notice
Our plastic cupcake containers are made out of 99% plant based material now!
We swapped our bottled soda and potato chip providers from East Coast to Midwest companies: Wisco Pop! soda (Wisconsin) and Great Lakes Potato Chips (Michigan), respectively. Imagine how much less fuel is spent on getting your chips from Michigan, instead of New York.
The plastic ware for takeout orders are made out of vegetable starches, mostly potatoes. (Fans of puns, please note that the company made the astute choice to call this product Tater Ware 🥔🍴)
Older changes like cutting down on the paper goods at our condiment station, switching to locally roasted coffee, and setting up better water dispensers are also part of this longer ongoing project to make Three Tarts as green as we can. Of course, these kind of changes only work with customer support. Thank you for sticking with us as we make changes for the better! If you have any ideas about other changes we can make, please let us know
